York Opera's next production, The Tales of Hoffmann is an excellent opportunity to try your hand!
Three stories and some beautiful music to be brought to life at York's Theatre Royal, 25th - 28th June.
Based upon the imaginative stories of the German Romantic writer E.T.A. Hoffmann, Offenbach's final opera boasts such hit numbers as the clockwork-driven 'Doll's Song' and the seductively swooning 'Barcarolle' duet.
If you haven't sung opera before (or even sung before!) don't let this stop you. Previous experience is not necessary, and we can provide plenty of support and a warm welcome.

We’ve already cast our principles, so this is an opportunity to get involved in chorus roles and meet new people!

While it is helpful to have some idea of how to follow music, it's not essential. Rehearsals will teach the separate parts, and online audio files will be available to support practice at home.

This is an introductory session to get involved. We can organise your membership at a later date if you enjoy yourself - and we hope you do!
